Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team at a Maryland location. You will oversee a specific area of the store, supervise Associates, and manage operations when the Manager on Duty is away.

You’ll ensure proper merchandising, a clean, safe shopping environment, and adherence to company processes. Strong communication, frontline supervision, and training abilities on cash handling, loss prevention, and customer service standards are required to support

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills required.
• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for retail environments.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when on duty.
• Maintain safe, clean, and well-merchandised store areas.
• Enforce loss prevention and daily operations.
• Train and coach front-end associates on cash handling and procedures.
• Ensure payroll and administrative duties as assigned.
