Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and assist the Manager on Duty in daily operations. You will supervise Associates, ensure safe, friendly environments, and maintain merchandise presentation to company standards.

You will oversee loss prevention, front-end activities, and stockroom organization while delivering excellent customer service and staff coaching. This role requires evening and weekend availability and a strong retail mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates when acting as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure merchandise presentation to standards.
• Oversee store operations, loss prevention and safety practices.
• Train and coach staff on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Ensure proper inventory flow, back stock, and merchandising execution.
