Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a designated store area and oversee operations when the Manager on Duty is unavailable. You will supervise associates, ensure safe shopping conditions, and uphold company presentation and loss prevention standards.

The role requires excellent communication, prior supervisory experience, and familiarity with POS systems. Evening and weekend availability is expected in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment on the sales floor and back areas.
• Supervises associates and ensures store operations and customer service standards.
• Trains and coaches on cash registers and loss prevention.
• Controls break schedules and ensures front-end efficiency.
• Ensures merchandising standards and stockroom organization.
• Performs administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
