Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist in daily operations as the Manager on Duty. The role focuses on supervision, safety, and maintaining an inviting, easy-to-shop environment.

You will lead Associates, ensure merchandise presentation, drive loss prevention, and deliver strong customer service while adhering to company policies. This position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and involves payroll oversight and stockroom

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Lead front-end operations to minimize wait times.
• Train Associates on cash registers and loss prevention.
• Manage stockroom organization and back stock.
• Control payroll administration and scheduling as needed.
