Job summary

HMSHost in Chicago is seeking a Manager I to assist Branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards, following company policies.

You will supervise day-to-day activities, participate in hiring, prepare schedules, ensure breaks, manage cash handling, and uphold health and safety guidelines, reporting to the GM or Director of Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising restaurant staff.
• Knowledge of HACCP and health standards.
• Ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates.
• Participates in interviewing and hiring decisions as applicable.
• Prepares schedules and ensures coverage for all shifts.
• Ensures mandated breaks and meals are taken.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns.
• Performs health and safety activities as required.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices.
• Keeps contact information for associates up to date.
