Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in QSR restaurant operations. You will keep the restaurant clean, staffed, and ready for business while upholding high standards and company policies.

You will supervise associates, assist with hiring input, schedule shifts, monitor safety and compliance, and ensure accurate cash handling and vendor orders at the unit. This role requires adaptability and leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of restaurants.
• Participates in interviewing, hiring input, and promotions with GM input.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meals are taken by associates.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in policy.
• Places orders, receives goods, processes invoices, and maintains contact information for associates.
