Job summary

HMSHost in Columbus, OH is seeking a Manager I to assist branch management in tactically executing QSR or similar restaurant operations. The MGRI ensures the restaurant is clean, prepared for business, staffed, and runs to high standards, applying company policies to make daily decisions.

You will lead front‑line teams, supervise schedules, monitor safety and wellness, manage inventory and invoicing, and partner with GM to hire and train staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years food and beverage experience.
• Minimum of 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures according to company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined restaurant or point-of-sale area.
• Participates in the interview process and provides input in hiring, advancement, or changes to the GM.
• Assigns work tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures rest breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Maintains clean, stocked, visually appealing display areas and proper equipment.
• Operates cash register and handles transactions per HMSHost policies.
• Monitors health and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Manages orders, receipts, invoices, and up-to-date contact information for associates.
