Job summary

MOD SUPER FAST PIZZA, LLC. in Madison, WI is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, train new hires, and uphold MOD standards while delivering great guest experiences.

You will mentor the squad, handle deployment, manage inventory, ensure food safety, and support management to keep daily operations running smoothly. This role requires at least one year of customer service or restaurant experience, and you must commit to 3 shifts and 18 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader.
• Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow and enforce processes and standards, correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
• Calming presence in periods of high volume.
• Must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date or sooner where required by law.
• Proficiency in written and oral communication.
• Support restaurant hours by working a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours as determined by General Manager or District Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work to support guests (deployment).
• Train newly hired or promoted squad members and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
• Maintain operating systems and equipment to meet restaurant goals, including online ordering, catering, fundraising and customer review systems.
• Use and reference MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in both Back of House and Front of House.
• Listen, acknowledge, and resolve squad member and/or guest concerns. Escalate issues as appropriate.
• Manage cash within the shift accurately and responsibly, including making change, accessing cash in the safe, and processing refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders as needed and supported by the GM.
• Adhere to all Opening/Midday/Closing shift checklists and use all tools available to execute requirements in a timely manner.
• Regularly review email to stay updated on and communicate any information from the Slice and other relevant sources for squad members to be effective in their roles during the shift.
