Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Manager I to support branch management in executing QSR or restaurant operations. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and compliant with policies.

The role focuses on supervising associates, assigning tasks, and upholding health and safety standards. The position requires supervisory experience, cash handling, and strong customer service skills, with the ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory or lead experience in a restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and policy documents; communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a unit.
• Participates in hiring input and recommends promotions or terminations to the GM.
• Assigns tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken.
• Keeps display areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order.
• Operates cash register and follows cash handling policies.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
• Performs Health and Safety activities per policy.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices; maintains contact info for associates.
