Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead and develop the shift team, ensuring outstanding product quality and customer service. The role focuses on driving sales, controlling costs, and enforcing SOPs across all drive-in operations.

The Assistant Manager will train staff, manage staffing during shifts, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities during shifts.
• Proficient in using basic computer software and POS systems.
• Understanding of cost controls and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, lead, and assign drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead and manage drive-in operations during shift to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle and elevate guest issues/concerns during shift.
• Handle and elevate employee issues/concerns.
• Monitor drive-in costs and inventory to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Assist with drive-in records preparation and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Perform station duties as needed to meet standards.
• Regular cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Maintain regular attendance.
