Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to drive daily restaurant operations, supervise the team on shift, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will manage opening/closing, inventory, and safety standards while coaching staff on product quality and service.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and adherence to EPL specifications, with flexible full-time or part-time hours and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or pass EPL Food Safety Audit after hire.

Responsibilities

Oversee opening and closing procedures; coordinate crew tasks for setup, food prep, and cleaning.
Maintain service speed and cleanliness to meet company standards.
Prioritize tasks and manage staffing based on sales and needs.
Train team members on new products and procedures.
Handle cash drawer, deposits, and audits; coordinate with Area Leader for guidance.
Greet customers and assist with orders to ensure satisfaction.
