Job summary

McAlister’s Corporation in Mississippi is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to support daily operations, supervise during assigned shifts, uphold food quality, safety and cleanliness, and assist in training team members.

You will manage FOH and BOH duties, handle guest comments, monitor service speed, assist in scheduling to control labor costs, and open/close the restaurant when needed. Strong communication and team-oriented attitude required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience within the food service industry; supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Worked in a fast paced environment.
• Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure guest and team member safety and sanitation standards.
• Schedule staff to minimize overtime and manage labor costs.
• Monitor speed of service to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Handle guest comments and complaints; escalate when needed.
• Train new hires and existing staff on procedures.
• Open and close restaurant in absence of upper management.
