Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Opelousas, LA is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to help manage daily operations and ensure top food quality, service, and cleanliness. You will supervise both front and back of house during shifts and assist in training staff to follow McAlister’s procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in food service; fast-paced experience is a plus. Benefits include PTO, 401(k) match, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience within the food service industry; supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Worked in a fast paced environment.
• Retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure a positive experience for team members and guests.
• Manage FOH and BOH shift responsibilities including staff scheduling to control labor costs.
• Monitor speed of service to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest comments and complaints.
• Supervise daily shifts to uphold McAlister’s standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Assist in ongoing training of team members and new hires; perform line checks as needed.
• Enforce uniform policy and cash handling procedures.
• Open and close the restaurant in the absence of upper management.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
