Job summary

McAlister’s Deli in Meridian, MS is seeking a Restaurant Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in the absence of management. You will supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensure food quality, cleanliness, safety and sanitation, and address guest comments with professionalism.

The role requires a High School diploma, at least 1 year in food service (retail a plus), and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience within the food service industry; supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Worked in a fast paced environment.
• Retail experience

Responsibilities

• The Restaurant Shift Leader contributes to the success of McAlister’s Corporation through assisting in the daily operations of the restaurant.
• Direct the operation of the restaurant, in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager, while maintaining standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety and sanitation by directing and supervising team members.
• Handle guest comments and complaints, and escalate to GM/ASM when necessary.
• Provide supervision during assigned shifts and ensure a positive experience for team members and guests.
• Manage both FOH and BOH shift responsibilities including scheduling to minimize overtime and control labor costs.
