Job summary

Harri is seeking a Shift Leader to assist the management team in achieving restaurant goals and overseeing daily operations on a given shift. This role carries leadership responsibilities similar to an Assistant Manager, excluding hiring and termination of staff.

The Shift Leader directs hourly team members, ensures quality, safety, and guest satisfaction, and participates in training, audits, and meetings.

Qualifications

• 6 months restaurant experience minimum
• Good customer service skills and ability to respond to guests
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to read company instructions and receipts
• Willingness to operate a cash register and perform basic math
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must pass Shift/Team Leader training and certification

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises hourly team members on assigned shift to ensure quality, efficiency, and guest service
• Assists in planning and supervising completion of tasks and enforces safety, sanitation, and security procedures
• Delivers training using company tools to hourly staff on restaurant operations
• Maintains restaurant equipment and facility per guidelines; informs General Manager of repairs
• Performs administrative duties: audits, deposits, accounting, and incident reporting
• Attends store, market, and company meetings and maintains certifications (alcohol, food safety)
• Recommends disciplinary action for staff
• Maintains interior/exterior cleanliness and initiates cleanliness as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
