Job summary

Yoshinoya America, Inc. is seeking a shift supervisor for our Carson, CA location. The role involves daily supervision of food prep, guest relations, and stepping in for the General Manager when needed. You will ensure compliance with Yoshinoya standards, train staff, manage cash handling, and support a clean, safe kitchen.

Strong English communication, basic math, and prior supervisory restaurant experience are required. Occasional district travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous restaurant management/supervisory experience.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Supervises crew and shift in the absence of the General Manager.
• Backs up crew and covers breaks as needed.
• Ensures all food and beverages are prepared and presented to Yoshinoya standards and safety requirements.
• Documents reports as directed by GM.
• Maintains proper merchandise storage and labeling procedures.
• Addresses customer complaints per policy and Escalates when refunds are necessary.
• Trains staff and monitors shift activities, providing feedback.
• Rotates items using FIFO; ensures proper cash handling.
• Keeps the restaurant clean and equipment functioning; maintains safe work environment.
• Reports injuries promptly and manages change funds.
• Communicates effectively with staff and management.
• Supports GM with coin orders, cash drops, deposits to armored car safe.
• Attends in-house seminars.
