Job summary

Soho House opens Cardon, its new American steakhouse concept in New York. As a Server you will educate members and guests on menu items and allergies, deliver an elevated dining experience, and collaborate with FOH/BOH teams while entering orders into the POS system.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, be hospitable and problem-solve under pressure, and adhere to Soho House Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Must demonstrate competency as outlined in training and Club School.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays; ability to take direction and work in a team or autonomously.
• Tips certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management; complete checklists on trained processes.
• Elevate dining experience with food and drink pairing options; discuss specials to drive sales.
• Advise management and Executive Chef on allergies or red flags during service.
• Complete checkout reports at end of shift; have them signed by management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and all company standards and laws.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets.
• Clean and stock server alley and bar area; polish silverware and glassware.
• Know the menu; make recommendations when asked by members and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
