Job summary

Soho House in New York seeks a Server to educate members and guests on menu items, allergens and to provide an elevated experience following Soho House Service Standards. You will enter orders into POS and support FOH/BOH collaboration through service.

The role requires a minimum of 2+ years in a similar capacity, hospitality mindset, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Training and benefits are provided to develop your skills within a global hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in training schedule and Club School.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Tips certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management.
• Elevate dining experience by discussing specials and pairing options to drive sales.
• Communicate allergies or red flags to Management and Executive Chef.
• Complete all checkout reports at end of shift and have them signed.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and all company policies and laws.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers as needed with expo and service bar tickets.
• Maintain server alley and bar area, stock and polish vessels.
• Know the menu to make suggestions when asked by members/guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
