Job summary

Soho House & Co. in Chicago is seeking a Server to understand and educate members and guests on menu items, allergies, and dining experiences while upholding Soho House Service Standards.

The Server will enter orders into the POS and collaborate with FOH/BOH to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. The successful candidate will have at least 2+ years in a similar role, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and deliver hospitality with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar capacity.
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintains composure under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable and customer-focused; respectful to colleagues and guests.
• Able to demonstrate competency per training schedule and Club School.
• Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to take direction, work in a team and autonomously; POS knowledge and tips certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management.
• Elevate dining experience with food and drink pairings and discuss specials to drive sales.
• Maintain communication with management about allergies and red flags.
• Complete all checkout reports and obtain sign-off by management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company policies and laws.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly.
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets.
• Clean and stock server alley and bar area; polish silverware.
• Knowledge of the menu to suggest items to members/guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
