Job summary

Pizza Hut is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee restaurant operations during shifts and to support the RGM in sales and profitability planning. The AGM will train Team Members, supervise staff, and become proficient in all restaurant functions for eventual advancement.

The role emphasizes coaching, customer service excellence, and effective communication to drive daily and weekly margin targets while maintaining safety standards and operational quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or education/training experience.
• 1–2 years of work experience in food service or related industry.
• CHAMPS Certification completed.
• Developing Champions Certification for leading in manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the restaurant by guiding shift staff and cohorts.
• Hands-on operational work to train employees and role-model skills.
• Demonstrate company principles and recognition programs.
• Assist in day-to-day operations including staffing, inventory, and supplies.
• Supervise and coordinate team to maximize efficiency.
• Analyze sales, labor, and controllables to meet margins and growth targets.
• Assist in preparing financial plans with the RGM.
• Ensure safety, health codes, and company safety policies are followed.
• Maintain facility and equipment to company standards daily.
• Recruit and develop Team Members and Shift Leaders.
• Provide feedback and assist with performance management.
• Communicate action plans to the team and support local marketing.
