Job summary

Pizza Hut is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the RGM in managing restaurant operations, training team members, and driving sales and profitability. This role requires hands-on leadership across shifts and a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will coach Team Members and Shift Leaders, supervise daily operations, manage labor and inventory, and help implement local marketing initiatives while preparing for advancement to an RGM position.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education, partial high school education with specialized training or equivalent experience
• Completion of CHAMPS Certification
• Developing Champions Certification for ‘Leading a Restaurant in Manager’s Absence’

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in the restaurant - recognizing and motivating Shift Leaders, Shift Managers and Team Members; coaching and training the team to achieve operational excellence
• Direct hands-on operational work on an on-going basis to train employees and respond to customer service needs
• Demonstrate HWWT principles and utilize HWWT recognition programs
• Assist in managing day-to-day operations by supervising labour, inventory and supplies, and develop the restaurant team
• Supervise others and coordinate their work efficiently
• Analyze sales, labour, inventory and controllables and take action to meet targets
• Assist RGM in preparing financial plans
• Ensure safety, health codes and corporate policies are followed
• Maintain facility and equipment to company standards
• Recruit and select qualified team members
• Assist RGM with staffing plans
• Train and develop Team Members and Shift Leaders
• Provide feedback to staff at all levels
• Assist with performance management and progressive discipline
• Collaborate with RGM on corrective actions or terminations
• Assist in action plans addressing in-store issues and communicating them to the team
• Assist RGM with local marketing activities
• Assist with new product rollouts
• Develop relationships with suppliers, franchisees and corporate contacts
