Job summary

IHOP is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, with emphasis on profitability and guest satisfaction. You will supervise staff, ensure quality and service standards, and collaborate with the General Manager to drive sales growth.

Responsibilities include financial objectives, marketing support, staff development, and adherence to IHOP SOPs. Availability for days, nights, and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and speak English; interpret safety rules and manuals
• Basic computer skills including Email, MS Excel, MS Word

Responsibilities

• Execute annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service, and HR objectives for the restaurant as defined by IHOP SOP and operations plan
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with restaurant staff and franchisee organization
• Manage restaurant floor with focus on guest contact and timely handling of complaints
• Ensure recruitment, training, operations, food safety and sanitation, and security follow SOPs
• Perform supervisory duties including recruitment, training, directing workflow, evaluating performance, and addressing issues
• Complete reports and paperwork accurately and on time; maintain personnel files
• Be available to work days, nights and weekends
