Job summary

Universal Store in Hammond, IN is seeking a capable Operations Manager to direct the restaurant unit’s daily activities, drive sales, manage guest satisfaction, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

You will mentor staff, coordinate training programs, recruit and retain team members, and work with the General Manager to meet budgeted goals and uphold IHOP standards. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to speak and read English and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Certification through IHOP training courses.
• Valid Driver’s License to drive on Company business.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the achievement of budgeted sales and profits.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement Craft Training program for hourly employees to improve operations and guest experience.
• Assist in executing annual financial, local marketing, guest service and HR objectives.
• Comply with regulations applicable to the unit and SOP.
• Assist in recruitment, training and retention of employees per SOP and plan.
• Ensure adequate levels of supplies and proper operation of equipment and premises.
• Complete required reports and paperwork; other duties as assigned.
