Job summary

IHOP in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Operations Supervisor to direct the unit and ensure guest satisfaction and profitability. This role will oversee daily operations, coordinate with the General Manager, and uphold quality standards across service, food safety, and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong mathematical skills for inventory and budgeting.
• Experience with training and supervising staff; IHOP SOP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeted sales and profits achievement.
• Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Implement Craft Training program for all restaurant hourly employees to improve unit operations and guest experience.
• Assist in the execution of annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service and human resource objectives, strategies and tactics for assigned unit, as defined by SOP and operations plan.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations which are applicable to assigned unit.
• Assist in recruitment, training and retention of employees as defined by SOP and operations plan for the assigned unit.
• Ensure adequate levels of supplies.
• Ensure proper operational condition of equipment, building structure and premises according to regulations and SOP.
• Ensure safety and sanitation practices are maintained according to regulations and SOP.
• Ensure security practices as defined by SOP.
• Assist in completion of all required reports and paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
