Job summary

Denny's is seeking a Restaurant Manager to supervise approximately 15-20 crew members on assigned shifts, ensuring proper execution of restaurant operations and delivering a great dining experience while upholding service and quality standards.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will support day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays, drive guest satisfaction, oversee staff selection and retention, and help manage costs and brand standards across the operation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift a tray weighing up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 60 lbs
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift and grasp
• Must be able to hear well in a loud environment to respond to employee and guest needs
• Must meet health risk concerns about food handling regulations
• Must be able to operate point-of-sale system and differentiate denominations
• Must be able to work with all Denny's menu products
• Must be able to work around potentially hazardous chemicals
• Must have mobility to move and operate in confined areas
• Must work inside and outside the restaurant
• Must be able to observe staff and all aspects of restaurant operations
• Must be able to stand and walk during 8-10 hour shift; shifts may exceed 10 hours
• Must tolerate extreme temperature changes in kitchen and freezer areas

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately 15-20 crew members on assigned shifts
• Ensure proper execution of restaurant operations and guest dining experience
• Uphold service and quality standards across the operation
• Support the General Manager in achieving brand standards and controllable profit goals
• Assist in staff recruiting, onboarding and retention
• Drive operational improvements and cost controls
• Maintain compliance with employment policies and brand standards
• Address guest issues and coach hourly staff to improve service
