Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and operates to high standards. You will use policies to guide decisions and contribute to a safe, profitable operation.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong customer service, and the ability to manage daily activities, schedules, and compliance with safety and alcoholic beverage policies.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Requires a minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers.

Responsibilities

• Executes opening, daily and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit.
• Participates in hiring decisions and promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Reads financial and operational reports to monitor unit goals and assigns staff accordingly.
• Manages staff scheduling and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures diversity and inclusion policies are understood and followed.
• Resolves customer and associate issues promptly; escalates when needed.
• Ensures compliance with AB policies and procedures by staff.
• Ensures clean and appealing display areas and well-maintained equipment.
• Handles cash and follows HMSHost cash handling policies.
