Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support branch management in executing complex restaurant operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is prepared for business, staffed, and runs with high standards, using established policies to guide decisions.

The role involves opening/closing duties, supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and aligning daily activities with unit goals while upholding inclusion and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires 6+ years in food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Requires 4+ years of supervisory or lead experience in Casual Dine or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, understand and act on instructions, correspondence and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within the unit or group of restaurants/POs.
• Interviews candidates and makes hiring/advancement decisions; promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Monitors financial and operational data and assigns staff to meet unit goals.
• Ensures staff comply with health and safety policies and AB procedures.
• Places orders, receives goods and processes invoices; maintains contact information for associates.
