Job summary

HMSHost in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support branch management in tactically executing complex QSR or casual dine restaurant operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, prepared for service, staffed, and operated to high standards by following prescribed policies.

You will supervise daily activities, assist in hiring, monitor financial and operational metrics, manage shifts, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and beverage policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, policy documents, and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per company policies.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates across units.
• Participates in hiring decisions and promotes HMSHost as employer of choice.
• Reviews financial and operational data to monitor unit goals.
• Ensures AB policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Manages staffing schedules and break compliance.
• Ensures cleanliness, equipment readiness, and visual appeal.
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices.
• Maintains accurate contact information for associates.
