Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Las Vegas to support branch management in running complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, using company policies to guide decisions.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, supervising associates, hiring decisions, monitoring financial and operational data, and maintaining safety and guest service quality.

Responsibilities

• Opens, runs, and closes the unit according to company procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of restaurant staff and points-of-sale.
• Participates in hiring decisions and promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Analyzes financial and operational data to help meet unit goals.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and shift coverage.
• Protects compliance with diversity and inclusion policies.
• Resolves customer and staff questions, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Ensures AB policies and procedures are followed by staff.
• Assigns tasks, creates schedules, and oversees shifts.
• Ensures staff take mandated breaks and meal periods.
• Maintains clean, stocked, and visually appealing display areas.
• Ensures equipment is in good working order and safe to use.
• Handles cash and follows cash handling policies and security rules.
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns to the GM.
