Job summary

IHG is seeking an experienced restaurant manager to oversee service operations, guest interactions, and cost controls within a busy dining environment. You will supervise shifts, manage staff development, and contribute to promotions while maintaining high standards of service and food quality.

The role requires prior management experience in hospitality, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior experience at the manager level or above.
• Prior experience in a restaurant similar in scope/style.
• Prior hands-on experience performing the majority of the areas of responsibility described above.
• Passionate & humble about service.
• Proactive and/or reacting according to different circumstances.
• Flexible to change.
• Committed to a high quality service and high food standards.
• Good math skills.
• Prior experience with & good working knowledge of POS and/or other restaurant-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, monitors and participates in service operations during an assigned shift.
• Regularly interacts with guests to ensure quality experience, handle special requests, answer questions and/or resolve problems.
• Focus on controlling labor and beverage costs, review of the P&L with the General Manager and identify areas of improvement.
• Contribute in managing staff and/or restaurant manager performance through feedback, coaching and evaluations.
• Participate in marketing and promotion strategies as directed.
• Leads and participates in interviewing, hiring and training of new hourly service staff; leads and participates in ongoing training of existing staff.
• Assist as lead manager for beverage programs, menus and costs.
• Performs operations/admin functions: opening/closing, pre-shifts, line checks, staff scheduling, inventory, orders, POS usage, reporting, maintenance.
• Attends internal/external meetings relating to restaurant operation.
• Ensures maintenance of service areas, equipment and manager offices.
• Controls and analyzes costs; creates action plans for guest satisfaction, operating costs, sanitation.
