Job summary

BBQ Holdings is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Mentor, OH to help run a profitable restaurant operation. You will lead frontline teams, manage shifts, and support the General Manager with safety, sanitation, and financial accountability.

The role requires strong leadership, a focus on guest experience, and the ability to train and develop 20–50 staff members while meeting health and quality standards and budget targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of prior managerial or supervisory experience.
• A degree in Hospitality, Business, or Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
• Serve Safe Food and/or Serve Safe Alcohol certifications preferred.
• Certification through Management Training Program(s) required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Increase guest counts and sales by building guest loyalty and staff development.
• Ensure proper facility and equipment management, preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs and security; uphold safety and sanitation.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop, retain, supervise, appraise, discipline, terminate and schedule staff.
• Train and develop non-exempt staff and trainers per company guidelines.
• Ensure employees understand and follow company Policies and Procedures.
