Job summary

Portillo’s in Schertz, TX is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a high-performing team and deliver hospitality at a fast pace. You’ll plan shifts, train staff, uphold sanitation standards, manage scheduling and inventory, and ensure guest experiences that turn first-timers into regulars.

A 1-3 year background in high-volume operations and strong leadership are required; a high school diploma is preferred. This role offers opportunities for growth and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Restaurant Management in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, scheduling, food planning, sanitation and security.
• Able to lead, coach, and drive excellence at all levels.
• Understanding of P&L and restaurant operations.
• Must pass sanitation and responsible alcohol service courses.
• Excellent communication in English with team members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Model operational standards and execute critical behaviors to run great shifts.
• Motivate and manage team members to deliver hospitality at the highest level.
• Lead coaching and development to achieve excellence.
• Foster engagement through recognition and clear communication.
• Ensure sanitation, food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plan shift schedules, training, opening/closing, and cash handling.
• Support inventory, budgeting and labor decisions.
