Job summary

IHOP in Fair Lawn, NJ is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee front- and back-of-house operations with a strong focus on profitability and guest satisfaction. The role reports directly to the General Manager and requires leadership of the restaurant team to uphold IHOP standards.

The manager will lead scheduling, training, safety, and daily reporting while maintaining exceptional guest service and compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and read safety/operational documents.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel and Word are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute annual financial, local restaurant marketing and guest service objectives per IHOP SOP.
• Develop relationships with hourly employees and franchisee organization.
• Manage restaurant floor with emphasis on guest interaction and satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and promptly to keep complaints low.
• Ensure recruitment, training, food safety, sanitation and security meet SOP standards.
• Supervise recruitment, training, direction of workflow, and performance evaluations.
• Complete required reports and maintain personnel files on time.
• Available to work days, nights and weekends.
