Job summary

Convive Brands’ Le Pain Quotidien in New York is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead on the floor, partner with the General Manager, and elevate the guest experience while driving strong business results. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes coaching, culture, and accountability; you will own labor deployment, inventory, food cost, and P&L, with opportunities to advance toward GM roles.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of full-service restaurant leadership, NYC license, and language

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership in a full-service environment.
• Passion for hospitality and ability to lead from the floor during service.
• Track record of building strong restaurant cultures with accountability.
• Experience managing labor, sales, COGS, inventory, forecasting, and P&L.
• NYC Food Handlers License required.
• Spanish, French, or Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, coaching in the moment and ensuring exceptional hospitality.
• Own the guest experience, anticipate needs and resolve concerns with empathy.
• Develop people and culture, ensuring team members feel valued and motivated.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, develop, and retain staff.
• Lead and coach leaders through opening, service, and closing with consistent execution.
• Own labor deployment and real-time decisions balancing guest experience and costs.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Manage inventory, food cost, waste, ordering, and COGS to improve performance.
• Contribute to P&L, forecast needs, and drive profitability.
• Step into GM responsibilities when needed.
