Convive Brands is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Le Pain Quotidien in New Canaan, CT. You will lead from the floor, partner with the General Manager, elevate guest experience, and drive strong business performance while developing your team.

This role is a hands-on leadership position in a full-service environment, balancing exceptional service with operational and financial results, and cultivating a culture of accountability. Future GM opportunities await driven leaders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service setting.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and ability to lead from the floor during service.
• Track record of building strong restaurant cultures where people feel valued and accountable.
• Strong guest-experience instincts with coaching for consistently high standards.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, coach, and retain talent at multiple levels.
• Experience managing labor, sales, COGS, inventory, forecasting, and P&L performance.
• Growth mindset toward future General Manager leadership opportunities.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• NYC Food Handlers License required to be considered for this position.
• Spanish, French, or Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, coaching in the moment and ensuring hospitality excellence.
• Own the guest experience, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns with empathy.
• Develop people and culture, creating an environment where teams feel valued and motivated.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain staff.
• Lead and coach leaders and team through opening, service, and closing with consistency.
• Own labor deployment and make real-time decisions balancing guest experience and productivity.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Collaborate to manage inventory, food cost, waste, ordering, and COGS.
• Contribute to P&L performance by analyzing sales and labor metrics.
• Step into GM responsibilities as needed for growth opportunities.
