Job summary

Convive Brands in New York is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead from the floor, elevate the guest experience, and drive strong business performance. This hands-on leadership role partners with the General Manager to coach teams, own labor and COGS, and ensure brand standards are consistently delivered across shifts.

The position offers opportunities to grow toward General Manager roles, with immediate open-house events and on-site interviewing at 85 Broad St, New York, NY 10004.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service setting.
• Must have or be eligible for NYC Food Handlers License.
• Ability to balance service excellence with operational results.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, staying engaged during service and coaching in the moment.
• Own the guest experience, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns with empathy.
• Develop people and culture, empowering team members to grow.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain staff.
• Lead with opening, service, and closing, ensuring consistent execution.
• Own labor deployment during service balancing guest experience and productivity.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness and safety.
• Manage inventory, food cost, waste, ordering and COGS with GM.
• Contribute to P&L performance using sales and labor metrics.
• Step into GM responsibilities as needed and pursue future GM opportunities.
