Convive Brands’ Le Pain Quotidien concept in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant General Manager. You will partner with the General Manager to lead the guest experience, develop the team, and drive restaurant performance with a focus on service and culture.

This salaried role emphasizes coaching, staffing, and operational excellence, with opportunities to grow across Convive Brands concepts and deliver consistent guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant leadership experience in a comparable concept.
• Ability to lead with energy, empathy, and vision.
• Strong culture-building skills to motivate the team.
• Proven guest-service focus and operational excellence.
• Experience with P&L, forecasting, inventory, and COGs.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, coaching team members and connecting with guests during service.
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and urgency, building loyalty.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, interview, hire, and retain a high-performing team.
• Support in optimizing labor deployment to balance service quality with budget goals.
• Lead Front of House to ensure smooth opening, mid-shift, and closing execution.
• Oversee food safety protocols and checklists to safeguard quality.
• Manage food costs and inventory; address waste and variances aggressively.
