Le Pain Quotidien is hiring an Assistant General Manager in New York, NY. You will lead from the floor, coaching teammates to deliver exceptional hospitality while partnering with the GM to drive guest satisfaction and business results.

The role emphasizes people development, culture building, and strong ownership of labor, costs, and inventory to support profitability. NYC licensing and leadership experience are required for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service setting.
• Ability to lead from the floor during service and coach a team.
• Experience managing labor, inventory, costs, forecasting, and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor during service, coaching in real time to ensure top hospitality.
• Own the guest experience and resolve concerns with empathy and urgency.
• Develop people and culture, building a high-performing team.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain talent with the GM.
• Open, service, and close with consistent execution and communication.
• Oversee labor deployment and balance guest experience with financials.
• Maintain food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Support inventory, ordering, and COGS to improve profitability.
• Contribute to P&L performance and plan for future GM opportunities.
