Job summary

Convive Brands’ Le Pain Quotidien in Westlake Village, CA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to partner with the General Manager, lead the team, and elevate the guest experience across every shift.

This hands-on hospitality leadership role balances exceptional service with operational and financial results, coaching staff while shaping a positive restaurant culture and preparing for future GM opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership in full-service settings
• Lead from the floor and inspire during service
• Build strong restaurant cultures where people feel valued and coached
• Coach teams toward service excellence and guest satisfaction
• Hire, develop, coach, and retain talent at multiple levels
• Experience with labor, sales, COGS, inventory, forecasting, and P&L
• Growth mindset toward General Manager-level leadership
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• NYC Food Handlers License required
• Proficiency in Spanish, French, or Arabic is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor, coach during service, ensure guests receive hospitality
• Own guest experience, anticipate needs, resolve concerns with empathy
• Develop people and culture, motivate growth
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, develop, and retain a high-performing team
• Lead and coach leaders and team through opening, service, and closing
• Own labor deployment during service balancing guest experience and productivity
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, safety
• Partner with GM to manage inventory, food cost, waste, ordering, and COGS
• Contribute to P&L using sales, labor, and costs to drive profitability
• Step into GM responsibilities as needed
