Job summary

Wendys of Western Virginia seeks a motivated General Manager to lead staff and operations across Roanoke and Lynchburg-area locations. You will guide restaurant teams in delivering fast, friendly service while maintaining profitability and a safe, welcoming work environment.

The GM will oversee cash and inventory controls, staff development, and adherence to food safety and health standards, with flexible scheduling to support peak hours and drive-thru service.

Qualifications

• Restaurant/retail experience with customer service is required.
• College degree or 3-4 years of line operations experience in the restaurant industry is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including late nights when drive-thrus stay open.
• Strong customer service, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
• General Manager candidates must be able to stand long periods and travel to related sites as needed.
• Reliability is a must for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to create a top restaurant experience with fast, friendly service.
• Control cash, inventory and equipment to support store performance.
• Empower and guide staff to meet organizational goals and service standards.
• Set a standard for quality, service and cleanliness across all shift periods.
• Perform HR duties to maximize staff engagement and retention.
• Interview and recommend candidates to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Complete all required administrative duties and reporting.
• Provide effective training through established systems.
• Ensure food safety procedures meet company and health department standards.
