Job summary

Wendys of Western Virginia seeks a General Manager to lead daily operations at one of our Roanoke/Lynchburg locations. You will supervise staff, manage cash and inventory, and drive high-quality service in a fast-paced team environment.

The GM will mentor employees, coordinate hiring, training, and administrative tasks while ensuring food safety and guest satisfaction across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Restaurant/Retail experience with a focus on customer service.
• College degree or 3–4 years of line operations in the restaurant industry.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including late nights (Drive-Thru open till Midnight).
• Customer service, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
• Must be able to stand long periods and travel to related locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage staff and operations at one or more locations across Roanoke and Lynchburg.
• Control and monitor cash, inventory, and equipment to drive profitability.
• Coach and develop team to achieve goals and uphold Service Excellence for every customer.
• Set standards for quality, service, and cleanliness across all dayparts.
• Perform HR duties to engage and retain employees and manage staffing.
• Interview and recommend candidates to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Complete all required administrative duties.
• Provide A+ training to employees through established systems.
• Ensure food safety procedures meet company and health department standards.
