Job summary

Perkins American Food Co. is seeking a General Manager to oversee the restaurant's operations and drive sales and profitability.

You will supervise all employees, including subordinate managers, and ensure execution of policies and procedures to guarantee guest satisfaction and a positive work environment. You will lead staffing, training, performance reviews, and compliance with ServSafe, safety, and sanitation standards while coordinating with regional meetings and forums to support

Qualifications

• Two years previous experience in a management role; preferably in the food service industry
• High school diploma; some college or degree preferred
• Must be able to communicate clearly with guests and vendors in person and by telephone
• Must be able to operate the cash register
• Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant operations and staff to achieve planned sales and profits.
• Plan and analyzes restaurant unit manpower, ensuring sufficient development and training of all employees, including subordinate managers.
• Recruit, train, and orient new hires.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and manage merit increases and documentation.
• Attend University of Perkins and complete coursework.
• Maintain ServSafe certification.
• Perform and assist in all restaurant positions as needed.
• Ensure proper preparation and presentation of menu items in a clean, safe environment.
• Monitor food temperatures to reduce food-borne illness risk.
• Schedule and staff to meet productivity and service standards.
• Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, security, and sanitation.
• Manage inventory and control costs and expenses.
• Identify and correct system breakdowns to maintain guest satisfaction.
