Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager/Operating Partner in Streetsboro, OH. You will be the top manager, responsible for directing and motivating staff across all shifts to deliver exceptional guest service and operational excellence.

You will oversee hiring, training, scheduling, inventory control, and compliance with all laws and company policies, while driving cost efficiency and local marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
• At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time-management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage staff compensation levels pursuant to company guidelines.
• Supervise and manage all drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Handle opening and/or closing duties and guest issues/concerns.
• Forecast and adjust labor, food, paper, and inventory to maximize cost-control and quality standards.
• Lead regular team meetings and ensure adherence to operational standards and guest service.
• Maintain drive-in recordkeeping and prepare operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing initiatives and business performance.
