Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a General Manager responsible for the complete operations of a bustling restaurant. You will lead a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while enforcing EPL policies, procedures, and standards to meet sales and profitability targets.

You’ll drive staffing, training, and performance, oversee inventory, safety, and compliance, and partner with HR and Area Leaders to uphold service excellence and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Must have 3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a QSR environment.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Must obtain Serve Safe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coach and recognize team performance to drive restaurant operations.
• Lead opening and closing procedures per EPL policies and ensure setup, prep and cleaning.
• Optimize labor planning and scheduling to meet sales volume.
• Provide backup coverage and ensure proper workstation coverage.
• Monitor food production to align with cost standards.
• Maintain guest service speed and cleanliness standards.
