BBQ-152 in Gilroy is seeking a General Manager to lead our team at this family-owned restaurant and local staple. This role oversees front and back of house operations, driving high performance and ensuring proper execution of restaurant functions.

This position requires an entrepreneurial leader who can oversee all operations and employees, with a focus on service quality, food standards, sanitation, and staff development. Competitive salary and benefits reinforce our commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• One year of management experience required.
• Must possess Manager Food Safety certification (within one month of employment).
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Able to work days, nights, and/or weekends.
• Able to walk or stand for long periods.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop hourly employees.
• Identify and delegate responsibilities to leads and staff.
• Ensure high levels of customer service.
• Maintain and update employee documentation.
• Ensure company processes and procedures are followed.
• Ensure food standards, quality, and presentation.
• Follow and manage sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Maintain staffing schedules per labor goals.
• Maintain weekly inventories to monitor and control food costs.
• Review financial data weekly and take actions to increase sales and profits.
• Manage daily deposits.
