Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager II to lead a QSR restaurant or nearby outlets in Alaska. The GM ensures the unit is clean, staffed, open for business, and operates to high operational and financial standards.

You will drive profitability, staffing, training, and compliance while representing HMSHost in the local community. The role reports to operations leadership, requires on-site presence, and involves varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Open and Close
• Deploys staff and resources to maximize profitability within the restaurant and accepts P&L responsibility.
• Assigns work tasks and activities, prepares schedules, and ensures that all shifts are covered
• Provides restaurant staff with consistent support, coaching and encouragement to achieve goals
• Interviews candidates and makes hiring or promotion decisions for associates
• Ensures onboarding and training, including compliance with badge requirements and OJT
• Reads financial and operational data to monitor progress toward unit goals
• Maintains brand standards and engages in marketing programs as directed
• Maintains safety standards and trains staff on health and safety requirements
