Job summary

Landed in Boston is seeking a General Manager who assumes complete ownership of the restaurant operation. The GM will cultivate and protect Mecha culture, core convictions and mission, with direct reports including AGM and Head Chef.

You will lead staffing, purchasing, service standards, safety compliance, payroll, budgeting, and communications with the executive team. The role requires evening/weekend availability and a track record of restaurant leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience required; previous management experience preferred.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Excellent customer service to treat patrons like family.
• Strong communication skills to train and motivate employees.

Responsibilities

• Handling staffing responsibilities, including hiring, training, scheduling, and terminations.
• Overseeing purchasing of food and supplies with waste control.
• Supervising staff across food prep, guest service, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Promoting teamwork and positive morale among employees.
• Resolving customer complaints in a polite, friendly manner.
• Ensuring health, safety, and hygiene codes are followed and DOH score stays high.
• Administering payroll and maintaining sales/cash records.
• Coordinating with Executive team via email/Slack/text/call.
• Helping with duties of other employees when needed and supporting marketing efforts.
