Kennedy Concepts is seeking an Expo (Expediter) to bridge the kitchen and dining room, ensuring food is prepared, plated, and delivered to guests in a timely and accurate manner. This role is crucial to maintaining the restaurant's flow and presentation standards.

Attention to detail, effective communication, and organizational skills are essential as you coordinate orders, check for special requests, and manage movement between kitchen and service areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant environment is preferred, especially in expediting or food runner roles.
• Excellent verbal communication to relay information between kitchen staff, servers, and guests.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in orders and presentation.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work standing for long periods and lift up to 60 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively between kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure orders are completed accurately and promptly.
• Ensure dishes are properly plated and meet presentation and quality standards.
• Check orders for accuracy in ingredients, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
• Oversee timing of food orders to ensure timely delivery to the dining room.
• Keep expo station clean and organized, with working tools and equipment.
• Communicate with servers about order status, timing, and any guest requests or concerns.
• Occasionally assist in delivering food to guests during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels at the expo station and inform management when supplies are low.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Address and resolve issues related to incorrect orders, food quality, or delays.
