The Kensington Hotel is seeking an energetic Restaurant Supervisor to lead our restaurant team and ensure exceptional service for every guest. This hands-on role focuses on coordinating staff, collaborating with management and the kitchen, and maintaining a welcoming dining atmosphere.

Ideal candidates are experienced in restaurant service or hospitality, comfortable with leadership, and skilled in cash handling and POS operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant service, bartending, or hospitality.
• Strong cash handling and POS skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the restaurant team in providing friendly, efficient, and exceptional table service.
• Help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued from the moment they arrive.
• Open and close the restaurant while completing daily opening and closing checklists.
• Work closely with management and the kitchen to coordinate staffing, supplies, and daily operations.
• Address guest concerns and find solutions that turn challenges into positive experiences.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, professionally, and with genuine hospitality.
• Help maintain a fully stocked and organized bar, including liquor, mixers, condiments, paper products, and produce.
• Greet guests, take beverage orders, and confidently recommend drinks and menu selections.
• Prepare and serve beverages using standard recipes, proper garnishes, and responsible portion control.
• Follow all state, federal, and company requirements regarding alcohol service.
• Accurately enter food and beverage orders into the POS system and maintain guest checks.
• Process cash and credit transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Complete cash drops and end-of-shift procedures and ensure restaurant funds are properly secured.
• Make sure the restaurant, bar, and equipment are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
