Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and service-focused Bar and Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. This role involves supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent guest experiences, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and service standards. You will be responsible for ensuring the bar and dining areas run efficiently and profitably while delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house operations in the bar and restaurant

Lead, train, and support service staff to provide excellent customer service

Manage staff schedules, breaks, and shift coverage

Ensure guest satisfaction by resolving complaints and handling special requests

Oversee bar and beverage operations, including inventory and stock control

Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and cleanliness

Work with management to implement promotions and seasonal menu changes

Handle billing, payments, and daily cash reconciliation

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol regulations

Health, safety, and hygiene regulations (including HACCP standards)

Customer service principles and conflict resolution

Licensing laws and alcohol service guidelines

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred

Food Safety and Alcohol Service Certification (if applicable)

Work Experience:

2–3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, bar, or hotel

Hands-on experience managing teams and customer service in food and beverage operations

Previous experience in handling bar service and restaurant floor management
